About myself -
6+ Years of experience in Software Testing using manual and automation modes in an Agile set-up.
Certified ISTQB professional. Designed a Hybrid automation framework using Selenium WebDriver + Java + TestNG + Maven + Extent-reports(POM). Contributed in automation framework created using script less automation tool 'Qualitia'

I am a student of software testing with almost 7 years of experience.

To be honest, like many others I did not have testing in my mind when I started my career as a technical support executive in an MNC. However, as destiny would have it, I began auditing processes and started improving them to ensure that we have standard SOP's in place to resolve all customer queries.

I was responsible for setting up best Quality practices in my first company which resulted in getting lots of positive client feedback and appreciation for our process. This resulted in me being promoted as the Team Leader within 1.5 years of joining the organization. I consider this as my biggest achievement so far as I was one of the youngest Team Leaders at that time in my organization. It still motivates me to do better whenever I face any challenges in my testing career.

The biggest challenge I faced was during my second role as Software Test Engineer where I had to apply learnings from my previous job (Tech Support Process) to a new job.

To apply learnings of the ISTQB certification by myself was also a challenge for me as I was the only QA on the team. And interestingly I had done the ISTQB certification 2 years back when I was working in a tech support process with the hope that someday I will get a chance to test software.

Transitioning from Manual to Automation was also quite a challenge. I learned the basics of Java and Selenium. Later on, I created few scripts which helped me to avoid a lot of repetitive tasks before every release.

The best practice that I followed:
Always prepare for future challenges with learning and implementing new skills.
