WomenInTech - International Women's Day Special

Hi QA Community,

Technology since its birth has been a male-dominated community. However, women can boast of breaking stereotypes and being fully capable of taking on any difficulty. In quite a similar fashion women have made their mark in technology as well.

If we look at history we have iconic figures like Mary Wilkes who built the system for the first home computer and Hedy Lamarr who had the miraculous breakthrough of the idea of Wi-Fi. Since then, women have slowly incorporated themselves into the technology empire as capable software engineers.

Now, what does it mean to be a woman in tech?

This is a question that every aspiring woman interested in technology wants to know the answer to.

Being a woman in Tech can be an uphill battle. Now more than ever with the number of women in the global tech workforce dwindling at as low as 40 percent, it is essential to celebrate the inspiring life and stories of women who have accomplished themselves in the field of technology and have left their mark. It is essential to ask them: “What does it mean to be a woman in tech?”

We cordially invite everyone to the WomenInTech talks 2021 global event on the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8th. Stay tuned for WomenInTech talks and stories coming up on March 8th.

QA TechTalks to accomplish this International Women’s Day:

●We want to bring forth passionate and inspiring women from our community to share their stories and talk about their journeys.

●We want every woman to feel that they are strong and capable.

●We want women to be dauntless and come forth to be a part of the tech community.

●It is women who empower women to step forth and do more.

That is exactly what we at QA TechTalks want to accomplish this International Women’s Day on March 8th.
